As Founder of Fresh Perspectives NE, Jane Fisher is delighted to be speaking at UK Startup & Scaleup Week 2025, taking place in Sunderland from 2–6 June. A brilliant celebration of energy, innovation and entrepreneurship across the Northeast region.
It’s a real honour, for Jane and the Fresh Perspectives NE Movement, to be part of such a dynamic line-up of events and contributors. For the week is designed to support those starting or scaling a business, giving them the inspiration, tools, and strategies to not only survive, but thrive in the months and years ahead.
Jane will be speaking on Day 5 – on the 6th June, where the theme is: Keep Going or Pivot?
As it’s the final day of the week, the day will be focusing on the gritty reality behind every successful business journey: what happens when things don’t go to plan.
Because let’s face it, building a business isn’t linear. It’s unpredictable, messy and full of moments when the path forward seems to vanish completely.
So, Jane’s session is framed: From Knockbacks to Momentum: Finding Direction in the Chaos.
Jane will be sharing real-life insights, her own and those from others she’s supported – about what it means to face:
- Unexpected curveballs: redundancy, global crises, health challenges
- External pressures: policy shifts, funding gaps, geopolitics, personal setbacks
- Uncertainty, frustration – even burnout
And most importantly, how to transform those moments into momentum.
Participants will explore:
- How to use uncertainty, challenge and chaos as a source of opportunity
- How to remove the clutter that clouds judgment
- How to create the space to think clearly, strategically – and act with purpose
- How to build real resilience – not just to bounce back, but to bounce forwards
- How to know whether it’s time to stay the course, pause – or pivot your business
Why this matters
Jane built a highly successful business following redundancy, then rebuilt her business twice. Once post Covid, and more recently following a significant health setback in 2024. Each time, she’s returned with more clarity, stronger boundaries and a deeper connection to her ‘why’; her purpose.
And it’s why she continues to help others find their own clarity and opportunity in the chaos that they experience. And to find the confidence for their next steps.
A Fresh Perspective
At Fresh Perspectives NE, Jane combine’s strategic leadership experience with the acceleratory power of the outdoors, to help business owners and leaders:
- To think more clearly and creatively.
- To make faster and better decisions.
- To lead their business and people with renewed energy.
Because often, what we really need is a pause. To bob on a new lens. To step into a different kind of space – away from the clutter,. To discover and grab the opportunities – and what really matters!
